Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel in a statement, has revealed what the Blues has in plan for Conor Gallagher.

Tuchel has disclosed his decision to ensure that Gallagher will play in the Blues first-team squad next season.

Gallagher, who is a newly-capped England international, is currently on loan at Crystal Palace this season, where he has been impressive, scoring seven goals and creating three assists from his 21 appearances in the Premier League.

There are indications that Crystal Palace, alongside some other English clubs, will likely submit a bid, temporary or permanent, for the 22-year-old in the summer.

However, according to the Evening Standard, the Blues will reject every offer as Tuchel want to keep Gallagher at Stamford Bridge.

While the Blues are well-stocked at the midfield, Jorginho and N’Golo Kante are ageing at 30 and Saul Niguez is likely to return to his parent club Atletico Madrid in the summer.

The report added that keeping Gallagher at Stamford Bridge could affect Chelsea’s plans to sign West Ham United midfielder Declan Rice if they do not part ways with other players in that position.
