How Kai Havertz will play in Tuchel’s squad
Chelsea new manager, Thomas Tuchel has drop a new hint on Kai Havertz as he revealed the new position he will play in the team.
According to Tuchel, he stressed that Havertz’s lack of playing time over the past few weeks is as a result of his lack of fitness.
However, Tuchel, who has changed the formation at Chelsea to a 3-5-2 formation since taking over from Frank Lampard in January revealed that the 21-year-old would play the number 9 or 10 role because he is very comfortable in high positions.
“Since I have arrived, the only thing that kept Kai Havertz from making a big impact is his injury, nothing else,” Tuchel said via Chelsea official website.
The Blues manager declared that Havertz is a unique player but it is not so clear where he needs to settle.
Tuchel went on to reveal he would say the 21-year-old in between a nine and a 10, something in between.
With this there is possibility that Havertz could start in a different position when Chelsea take on Man Utd later on Today in the Premier League.
Chelsea will host Man Utd at Stamford Bridge and would hope to use their home advantage to win all three points vs. the Red Devils.
