Chelsea current manager, Thomas Tuchel has hailed his predecessor, Frank Lampard for his good job before he was replaced at Stamford Bridge.

Recall that Chelsea owner, Roman Abramovich handed Lampard a sack letter after the Blues dropped from the top four on the league table, the Blues would go-ahead to sign Germany international, Tuchel as his replacement.

However, since the arrival of Tuchel as manager at Chelsea, there have been a tremendous change in the Blues squad.

Some of the achievement made under Tuchel include returning to the top four on the Premier League table, making it to the final of the FA Cup and UEFA Champions League.

Despite all of these, Tuchel has refused to attribute the successes to himself as he hailed Lampard for laying the foundation on which he’s building.

Tuchel said, ”So, he laid the foundation to arrive in the finals, and I will never forget it. We don’t feel ashamed or have any fear to say this out loud. And it felt like this the first day I came in here.

“I’m well aware Frank created his legacy here at Chelsea as a player and then tried to make it even bigger as a coach. And still, it had nothing to do with me, but we are well aware we’ve stepped in for the second half of the season and have tried to fulfil the job he has begun.”
