He is good for Man Utd – Schmeichel names manager Red Devils should sign as Ten Hag’s replacement
Former Manchester United goalkeeper, Peter Schmeichel, has sent a message to the club’s owners on the manager to sign as Erik ten Hag’s replacement.
Schmeichel named former Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel as the manager who is ‘good’ for the club.
The former manager also expressed his desire to support Ten Hag, who is currently under intense pressure amid the club’s woes this season.
As of now, Ten Hag’s side are seated at the 14th position on the Premier League table following their recent goalless draw with Aston Villa last weekend.
Schmeichel in a statement on the Seaman Says podcast with Betway said Tuchel was at Chelsea and German side Bayern Munich at the wrong time.
The former goalkeeper stated he likes Tuchel, and like being around the manager when he talks to his players in the technical area.
He believes Tuchel is someone who would be a good manager for Manchester United.
“But, Erik ten Hag is still the manager and I will support him,” Schmeichel adddd.
He, however, stressed that if he doesn’t work out for the Red Devils then they can make a change.
Tuchel as of now is out of job after he left Bayern Munich few months ago.
