Guardiola speaks on the importance of winning the EPL ahead of game vs Chelsea

Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola in a statement has stated that the Premier League remains the most important competition his side are playing in.

Man City would be confirmed champions for the third season in a row if they defeat Chelsea at Etihad this weekend.

Aside from the EPL, Man City are also in the race to win two other trophies this season, as they face Manchester United in the FA Cup final and Inter Milan in the Champions League final.

But Guardiola told reporters on Friday: “It’s non-stop, the most difficult thing [is coming]. Tennis players say to serve to win Wimbledon is the most difficult one. On Sunday, the game is in our hands.

“The Premier League is the most important competition because it’s over 10-11 months. We are lucky to be at home with our people to take it.”

They head to the game against Chelsea after thrashing Spanish club Real Madrid in the UCL.
