Frank Lampard criticised by Bayer Leverkusen boss over the impact of Kai Havertz at the club
Bayer Leverkusen manager Peter Bosz has criticised Chelsea boss Frank Lampard over how he’s managing Kai Havertz at the London club.
Kai Havertz was one of the hottest teenagers in Europe when Chelsea paid Bayern Leverkusen £70m to take him from the Bundesliga to the Premier League.
However, the attacking midfielder has struggled to make a mark in England as he has been forced to stay on the bench for the past few matches.
Kai Havertz has lost his place to Mateo Kovacic and Mason Mount in the Chelsea team and has been tipped to start in their match against Morcambe in the FA Cup third round on Sunday.
However, Peter Bosz while speaking with
The Athletic noted that he can see why Chelsea brought Kai Havertz in but he cannot see the exact idea Frank Lampard has for him.
According to Bosz, it’s really good that Frank Lampard protects him in the press but in the end, Kai Havertz must deliver, must score goals and make goals.
He pinpointed that for a €100 million transfer, Kai Havertz must play and he isn’t despite Frank Lampard speaking about his growing confidence in the press.
Bosz concluded by urging the blues fans to be patient with Kai Havertz as he has the potential and talent to play in any position across the front three.
