Four players that could replace Maguire at Old Trafford

Manchester United manager coach Erik ten Hag is set to sign a new replacement for the club’s former captain and defender Harry Maguire.

Ten Hag is said to have drawn up a list of four players to replace Maguire at Old Trafford, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano on CaughtOffside.

Maguire is close to leaving Manchester United this summer transfer window after West Ham United reached an agreement with Man Utd to sign the England international for £30 million.

The Hammers are now in discussion with Maguire, who is ready to move to London despite initially wanting to stay at Old Trafford, over personal terms.

Man United on the other hand have commenced the hunt for a replacement for their former captain.

Owing to this, the Dutch manager has identified four central defenders from across Europe as options to replace Maguire’s position in his squad.

According to the reports, the players are Bayern Munich’s Benjamin Pavard, OGC Nice defender Jean-Clair Todibo, former Chelsea man Marc Guehi and Bayer Leverkusen central defender Edmond Tapsoba.
