Former Tottenham Manager Mauricio Pochettino has been linked with a return to the Premier League as the report revealed he impressed Chelsea owner Todd Boehly.

Chelsea are currently on the search for a permanent manager to take over from Frank Lampard who they signed as a replacement for the recently sacked Graham Potter.

The Blues hope to get a new manager at the start of next season, having struggled to impress this season.

Chelsea have been linked with moves for Pochettino, alongside the likes of Julian Nagelsmann and Luis Enrique.

However, a report via the Independent revealed that while Chelsea’s hierarchy insist that there is ‘no favourite as of yet’, Pochettino is thought to have impressed them, including Boehly, with his ‘clarity of his vision’ for the club.

The report revealed the Blues have held several rounds of talks with both Pochettino and Nagelsmann, and the Premier League club felt the latter was ‘too similar to Thomas Tuchel,’ who was sacked last September.
