A recent report has claimed that former Chelsea talisman and Belgium international Eden Hazard is becoming frustrated at Real Madrid over limited playing chances.

This comes after he was overlooked during Thursday’s Copa del Rey contest with Athletic Bilbao.

The Belgium international was an unused substitute during the 1-0 loss to Athletic, with Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti deciding not to use him.

Hazard, who was tipped with a January move away from the Spanish club, has again struggled to show his best form at club level this term, managing just one goal and two assists in 18 appearances.

The experienced attacker started Real Madrid’s last league game against Elche but was withdrawn in the later stages, as the home side looked to recover from a two-goal deficit.

According to Marca, Hazard was becoming increasingly frustrated with his role at the club and was particularly disappointed not to be used in the Copa del Rey contest with Athletic.

Hazard, who was linked with a move to Newcastle United in January, has scored six goals and registered ten assists in 61 games for Real Madrid since arriving from Chelsea in July 2019.
