Former Chelsea star, Andriy Shevchenko has tipped Mykhailo Mudryk to impress at the club as he described him as a player, who is full of potential.

He, however, stressed that the player must first believe in himself.

Recall that the Ukraine international completed a transfer to Stamford Bridge from Shakhtar Donetsk during the January transfer window.

Despite the millions the Blues splashed to sign him, the Ukrainian has so far failed to live up to expectations, creating just two assists in 17 matches for the Blues.

Shevchenko who spent three seasons at Stamford Bridge, including a season-long loan spell at AC Milan, said that Mudryk has all it takes to impress at Chelsea.

“Mudryk is very young but I think he is quite confident. I saw his interview and he knows his quality,” he said, according to Sport Bible.

“For me he is quality, he is sharp, he’s strong, he’s fast and you just have to adapt better for Premier League football.

“The best advice is to just believe in yourself. I think he has this quality. He knows he’s a good player. My best advice is just keep working hard and see what you can achieve.”
