Former Chelsea star reacts to reports linking him to Man Utd

Former Chelsea star Ross Barley who now plays for Luton Town has reacted to the speculations linking him to Old Trafford.

Since Sir Jim Ratcliffe became a minor shareholder at Old Trafford, there has been a claims that Barkley could reunite with the billionaire having previously played for Ligue 1 side Nice, owned by the Man United shareholder.

Amid Radcliffe’s desire to rebuild the Red Devils, Barkley has emerged as a potential target for Man Utd after putting in a number of impressive form since signing for Luton last summer.

Come end of the season, Barkley could be available on a free transfer, as his Luton contract is reportedly set to expire this summer.

However, amid interest from Man Utd, the former Chelsea midfielder has no intention of entertaining those rumours, as he said his main focus is on Luton’s survival bid.

“I want to play in the Premier League,” Barkley told Sky Sports News. “I want to play in Europe again, but I’m not really focused on that now.

“I want to help the club stay in the league. I love the club. It’s helped me so much and I owe them a lot. So I’m focused on that and thinking about nothing other than helping them do that.”
