Former Aston Villa star Gabriel Agbonlahor in a recent statement has revealed former Chelsea star Kai Havertz as the player Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta will regret signing.

Agbonlahor opined that Arteta’s decision will cost Arsenal amid their Premier League title race.

This is because Havertz was not the answer for the Gunners.

The former England international believes Arsenal could have used the money they spent on signing the Germany international to purchase a striker like Brentford’s Ivan Toney.

Recall that the North London signed Havertz from Chelsea in the summer of 2023 for £65 million.

The 24-year-old has struggled to impress so far for the Gunners, scoring only five goals and providing one assist in 30 appearances across competitions for the Premier League North London club.

“I think the biggest thing Arsenal fans are annoyed with and what Arteta will regret is spending a lot of his transfer budget on Havertz,” Agbonlahor told talkSPORT.
