Italian international Antonio Conte has been sacked as Tottenham Hotspur club manager on Sunday night, according to the reports.

The former Juventus and Chelsea manager made headlines for criticizing his players, calling them “selfish” after last Saturday’s 3-3 draw with Southampton.

As of now, the Hotspurs are currently fourth on the Premier League table and will finish this season without silverware.

The North London side has not won a trophy since the League Cup in 2008.

“We have 10 Premier League games remaining and we have a fight on our hands for a Champions League place.

“We all need to pull together. Everyone has to step up to ensure the highest possible finish for our club and amazing, loyal supporters,” Chairman Daniel Levy said in a statement on Sunday evening.

The report revealed that Conte’s assistant, Cristian Stellini, has been named acting head coach for the rest of the season, with Ryan Mason chosen as his assistant.
