Former Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho is reportedly ready to reunite with some blues player as he begins his new adventure with Seria A club, AS Roma.

Tottenham Hotspur sacked Jose Mourinho in the latter stage of last season, but it wasn’t too long for the Portuguese tactician to be called into another job.

The former Manchester United manager was appointed as AS Roma boss after the Seria A side fired their manager Paulo Fonseca.

Jose Mourinho has now been linked with Chelsea defender Marcos Alonso and Emerson Palmieri as he hopes to sign one of them for the upcoming 2021/22 Serie A season.

Jose Mourinho is set to start his era at Roma without Leonardo Spinazzola, who will be out for six to seven months with a ruptured Achilles tendon suffered in Italy’s 2-1 quarter-final win against Belgium in Euro 2020, and a replacement is needed.

Roma are considering several options at this current moment, with Blues duo Marcos Alonso and Emerson Palmieri on top of the list.

Reports also claimed that the likes of Hellas Verona’s Federico Dimarco and Fiorentina’s Cristiano Biraghi are also on the list.

Atalanta left-back Robin Gosens, who shone for Germany at Euro 2020, is also a target for Mourinho, who wants to create a new history with Roma.
