A recent report via ESPN has revealed that former Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel could remain at German club Bayern Munich next season.

Tuchel appears to be reconsidering his future at the German club having made headlines back in February when he announced that he would leave the Bundesliga club this summer.

Bayern Munich impressive form in the Champions League this season and the club’s inability to find a replacement for Tuchel are likely part of the reasons, the manager is staying back.

Bayern saw their bids for a new manager rejected by potential replacements including Xabi Alonso, Julian Nagelsmann and Ralf Rangnick.

This made the former German champions return to the table with Tuchel about the possibility of extending his stay at the club.

It is expected that the former Chelsea boss will extend his stay by at least one year.

Recall that Tuchel had been linked with a move to Old Trafford, but he fears he might not be the perfect manager to replace Erik ten Hag if he is sacked.

The reports revealed Tuchel remains open to holding formal talks with the Red Devils if his new negotiations break down with Bayern and a vacancy opens up Old Trafford.
