Former Chelsea and now Real Madrid defender Antonio Rudiger revealed he is not surprised about being criticised at the Spanish club.

Recall that the German star moved to the Spanish La Liga after he refused to extend his contract with Chelsea in 2021 and chose to join Real Madrid as a free agent instead.

However, since signing for Los Blancos,  Rudiger has made 43 appearances across competitions for the club and is yet to become a regular player in Carlo Ancelotti’s led team.

The German has repeatedly come under criticism for his not-so-impressive performances.

Speaking about the criticism, Rudiger stressed that he is no one not to be criticized if the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Karim Benzema and Luka Modric at one point or another face criticism at the club.

“Dealing with pressure at Real Madrid? For me, it’s very simple,” he told Madrid Xtra.

“Cristiano got criticized here, Benzema got criticized here, Modrić, all of them. Who am I to not get criticized?”
