Former Chelsea coach speaks on coaching national team

Former Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel has dropped a latest hint about coaching a national team after the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

There are speculations that Tuchel would be interested in the England job if it becomes available after the World Cup in Qatar, as Gareth Southgate’s contract with the Three Lions will expire in 2024.

Tuchel was sacked by Chelsea in September and has reportedly turned down several coaching roles, including offers from Aston Villa and Bayer Leverkusen.

When asked if he would consider a job in international management, Tuchel said, as quoted by Metro: “Yeah, why not? I would, I would.

“I didn’t give it too much thought until now.

“But I would consider if it’s the right team and if it has the potential to win trophies like the World Cup and the Euros.”
