Former Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri has tipped blues midfielder Jorginho as a prime candidate for the prestigious Ballon d’Or award as he continues to put in a good performance at Euro 2020.

Jorginho joined Chelsea in the summer of 2018 after Sarri had left Napoli for the London club, and he became a first-team player under the Italian.

Though Sarri left the blues to seek q new challenge with Juventus, Jorginho has continued to prove critics wrong with her performance under the new manager at the club.

Jorginho under the guidance of Thomas Tuchel, has grown in confidence and stature to the extent where he became one of his side’s most influential players during an unlikely run to Champions League glory last season.

His impressive performance has continued with Italy at the ongoing European Championship, and Sarri believes he can be crowned Ballon d’Or Winner.

Speaking about Jorginho, Sarri stated that if he wins the European Championship too, he will become a favourite for Balloon d’Or.

Sarri noted that Jorginho is so excellent and intelligent that he makes everything seem easy, rarely anything spectacular remains in your eyes, and this is its greatness.
