Former Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri has admitted that leaving the blues for Juventus was a sensational mistake.

Sarri arrived in Chelsea with the aim of changing the club’s style of play and won trophies with his brand of football.

Despite the hurdles, Sarri was fruitful in his first and only season with blues, winning the Europa League title before moving to Juventus.

Sarri spent just a season with the Italian club Juventus, winning the Serie A title before being replaced by Andrea Pirlo last summer.

Speaking to AlfredoPedulla.com, Sarri stated that at Chelsea, he made a sensational mistake, that of wanting to return to Italy at all costs.

He noted that Chelsea director Marina stonewalled him to leave Chelsea, but he had this desire to return to Italy.

According to Sarri, Chelsea are a great club, in the following years, they have taken many young people suitable for me.
