Former Atletico player who now plays for Chelsea, Niguez Saul has revealed why he opted for the move to move to Stamford Bridge.

Saul was losing playing chances at Atletico and had to opt for game time elsewhere.

He, however, revealed he opted for Chelsea because Thomas Tuchel assured him of getting a permanent spot in the midfield.

Recall that when he was in Spain under coach Diego Simeone, Saul was given various positions to play across the pitch.

He has played as a No.10, wing-back and other places in between.

Saul in a statement on Twitch, Saul said ”the Blues coach has promised me to train in my position [midfield], but to play we will see.

He revealed that his transfer to Chelsea is a step out of his comfort zone and he believes fans would see a new him in a better place.

This means Saul would be battling with likes of N’golo Kante, Jorginho among others, for a spot in the midfield.

If he performs at Stamford Bridge, the Blues have the option of signing him permanently at the end of the season for £30 million.
