Manchester United defender Bruno Fernandes has revealed why he didn’t celebrate his goal against Chelsea in their recent match.

Fernandes played down issues with the Blues stars after his penalty during the win at Old Trafford.

According to the Portugal star, his lack of celebration was due to frustration, having missed a chance earlier in the match.

Recall that Man Utd thrashed Chelsea in a 4-1 scoreline that saw goals from Casemiro, Anthony Martial, and Marcus Rashford.

When asked about the spat between the player after his goal, Fernandes was quick to play it down as he told Sky Sports:

“Nothing. I was a little bit frustrated to not get my goal; I had a big chance that I had missed and I was a little bit frustrated. That’s it.”

Meanwhile, Man Utd will face Fulham this weekend and they could end up finishing in the third spot.
