Euro 24: Chelsea players to look out for and their countries
The Euro 2024 commenced on Friday June 14 with the host side Germany taking on Scotland at the Allianz Arena.
Two former Chelsea stars Antonio Rudiger and Kai Havertz were in action for Germany as they thrashed Scotland 5-1.
Aside from the former Blues stars, some of the club’s current players earned calls up from their respective countries and would like be in action.
Chelsea players at Euro 24 include:
1. Armando Broja who will be playing for Albania who are in the group of death’ alongside Croatia, Italy and Spain.
Albania are scheduled to play against Italy tonight and Broja is expected to be in action.
2. Marc Cucurella, the former Brighton star could make his competitive international debut at Euro 2024 for Spain on Saturday when they play against Croatia.
3. Conor Gallagher and Cole Palmer
The two Chelsea stars earned England call up for Euro 24. Gallagher will contend for the second midfield spot alongside Arsenal’s Declan Rice, while Palmer’s brilliant form last season made his case to oust Phil Foden or Bukayo Saka in one of the support roles behind striker Harry Kane.
England will play Serbia on Sunday, June 16.
Others are Djordje Petrovic for Serbia, Ian Maatsen for the Netherlands, Romelu Lukaku with Belgium and Ukraine’s Mykhailo Mudryk.
