EPL: Potter explains why Mudryk was removed during goalless draw vs Fulham
Chelsea manager, Graham Potter, in a recent statement has explained why he took off January signing Mykhailo Mudryk during halftime of their 0-0 draw with Fulham on Friday night.
Recall that Mudryk made his debut for the Blues against Fulham following an impressive cameo against Liverpool shortly after he arrived from Shakhtar Donetsk.
However, the Ukraine star was unable to replicate a similar impact during their game against Fulham and was hauled off before the second half, with Noni Madueke taking his place.
In a post-match statement, Potter claimed Mudryk was not feeling well and was never going to finish the game.
“Mudryk has had a heavy cold all week.
“We thought 60 minutes would be his maximum but he felt heavy-legged at half-time and we’re still building him up with the break he’s had in his season,” Potter said.
