Chelsea will return to action on Wednesday night when they face Tottenham Hotspur in the second leg of the EFL tournament.

Although Chelsea already have an advantage over Tottenham Hotspur, having defeated them with a 2-0 scoreline at Stamford Bridge, coach Thomas Tuchel is, however, not given room to chance.

Tuchel, in a pre-match statement, said, “I would say we have no foot in the final. Not half a foot or one foot, why lose energy thinking about this? Spurs are a very good team and a top, top coach so we need to be prepared. Maybe it is better not to think too much. We need to be fully aware of everything and adapt to the situation.”

The German manager added that Chelsea are always prepared properly for any game.

He said, “Trusting ourselves. We always prepare properly, on the front foot and have huge respect for the competition and our opponents. If you respect the game, the talent, it is our obligation to be prepared. I have trust in me, my staff and my team and players. If you do not arrive prepared then you have no chance to win consistently.”
