Chelsea manager and German international Thomas Tuchel has applauded goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga for his impressive display vs Brentford in the EFL on Wednesday night.

Kepa was a part of the much-changed Blues squad as Tuchel made use of Blues academy players for the match.

The game was so intense that Chelsea had to wait until the 80th minute before they could get their first goal.

The Blues won the match by 2 goals to nothing thanks to an own goal from Pontus Jansson and a penalty shoot by Jorginho.

Chelsea second-choice goalkeeper Kepa displayed another strong performance at the post, which has made Tuchel to acknowledge that he had been left “super happy” with the Spaniard.

Speaking to reporters at a post-match press conference, Tuchel said: “I am super happy and impressed. It is not a surprise anymore, he is in that state of mind where he just delivers.

“He does what he is supposed to and this is what he shows every day in training. I am absolutely sure this is the reason why he has these performances.”
