Former Chelsea and now Tottenham coach Antonio Conte has reacted to the EFL semi-final draw.

This comes as the Hotspurs have been paired to face Chelsea in the tournament’s semi-final.

Conte, in a statement, stressed that the Carabao Cup semi-final draw against the Blues is proof that it is ‘very, very difficult’ to win a trophy in England.

Tottenham made it to the next stage of the tournament; they defeated West Ham in a 2-1 scoreline.

Conte, in his statement, revealed he remembered in the past when he was at Chelsea, the EFL trophy was not secondary, but they used this trophy to play with young players or with players who usually aren’t in the starting XI.

Conte added: “For sure, it will be nice, good to play against Chelsea for me.

“I spent two amazing seasons with Chelsea and I enjoyed a lot, everything there.

“But now, I’m the manager of Tottenham and I’m ready to give everything for this club.”

In another news, Liverpool have been paired against Arsenal in the semi-final of the EFL.
