Chelsea’s mission to sign exciting players this present summer’s transfer window continues today, with reports of former Nice defender Malang Sarr agreeing a five-year deal with Chelsea.

Sarr Malanga left OGC Nice, his childhood club and for whom he had just many appearances, when his contract terminated on June 30 and has been a free agent since.

The Blues have prevailed over rivalry from an entire host of groups for the once profoundly evaluated youthful protector.

Evidently the 21-year-old  isn’t being targeted as a first-team signing, but rather a modest (no transfer fee) addition to the Loan Army, who might break into the first team the following summer. Given his accreditations, there’s a lot of interest as of now.

It’s an okay move for the club, helps me to remember Christian Atsu’s arrival, or even the likes of Michael Hector, but one that could deliver profits if Malanga Sarr can satisfy the promise he has shown now and again in his young career.

Deal CLOSE: Bayer Leverkusen playmaker breakthrough

Chelsea are set to address the centre-back position in the next summer’s transfer window, acquiring the veteran Thiago Silva now and serving notice to the likes of Andreas Christensen, Kurt Zouma and Antonio Rüdiger Time to step up, or step off.

Regardless, seems as though we have another. Welcome, Malang Sarr.
