Despite Chelsea woes, Palmer among favourites to win EPL golden boot

Chelsea star Cole Palmer’s four-goal in their 6-0 victory over Everton on Monday night was his 20th in the Premier League this season despite the Blues inconsistent form this season.

The new record means that Palmer is now level with his former City team-mate, Erling Haaland, who netted his 20th goal in their 5-1 win over Luton Town last Saturday.

Aston Villa’s Ollie Watkins’ goal against Arsenal in their 2-0 victory on Sunday, was his 19th of the season, two more than Liverpool star Mohamed Salah who fired blanks against Crystal Palace.

14 goals – Bukayo Saka (Arsenal), Phil Foden (Man City)

Meanwhile, Palmer would return to action this weekend when Chelsea take on his former club Man City in the FA Cup tournament as the Blues hope to end the season with a trophy.

Their last game against Man City in the Premier League ended in a 1-1 draw but they will hope to maintain their impressive form after their win against Everton.
