Kai Havertz has allegedly left the Germany camp so as to complete his anticipated move to Chelsea.

The Bayer Leverkusen playmaker has been intensely connected with a club-record move to Stamford Bridge, which is around £89.1m.

There are reports that he has been conceded leave from Joachim Low’s Germany squad in Stuttgart so as to complete the rest of the details of the move.

Official affirmation of the deal is anticipated in the coming days, with the 21-year-old set to join international teammates Timo Werner and Antonio Rudiger in West London.

Timo Werner is one of six players Chelsea have just signed this summer – alongside Hakim Ziyech, Ben Chilwell, Thiago Silva, Malang Sarr and Xavier Mbuyamba – and Kai Havertz signing would take their spending over £200m this summer.

The talented young midfielder was left on the bench for Germany’s 1-1 Nations League draw with Spain on Thursday evening, when Timo Werner scored the initial goal for his country, and isn’t required to return to the camp for their second game against Switzerland.
