Tottenham Hotspur are apparently progressively sure of signing Swansea City defender Joe Rodon.

Tottenham Hotspur saw an offer for Joe Rodon dismissed on international deadline day, but still have until October 16 before the domestic deadline closes.

Swansea City are thought to need around £15m for their academy product, and report asserts that the two clubs have made a breakthrough in negotiations recently.

The Premier League outfit are allegedly ready to structure the deal in various ways, including a cash only option, a player plus cash or an agreement which would see Joe Rodon loaned back to Swansea.

Jose Mourinho is interested to reinforce his defensive positions this summer, having passed up Milan Skriniar and Antonio Rudiger towards the end of the international transfer window.

Tottenham Hotspur have until 5pm on Friday to complete a deal for Joe Rodon, in spite of the fact that Leicester City and West Ham United are also thought to be keen on the Wales international.
