Deal Close: Chelsea star reportedly set to undergo medical with Premier League side

Chelsea midfielder Billy Gilmour is reportedly closing in on a loan transfer to Norwich City despite interest from other Premier League teams.

Billy Gilmour has been linked with numerous teams in the Premier League due to his performance for the blues when given a chance to play.

The Scotland international also proved he could play at the highest level when he swept aside England’s midfield with an outstanding performance during their Euro 2020 clash.

With the likes of Newcastle United and Aston Villa linked with a move for the youngster, Premier League newcomers Norwich City seems to have won the battle.

According to Sky Sports, Gilmour is poised to undergo a medical with Norwich once he comes out of quarantine later this week.

Gilmour couldn’t feature Scotland in their last group game at the Euro after testing positive for Coronavirus.

Though some Chelsea fans will not be pleased with the move but Gilmour is said to be willing to go out on loan so he can have playing time.

He will be eager to come back stronger after his loan spell with Mason Mount, Reece James and Tammy Abraham given a place in the Chelsea team after a successful loan spell.
