Former Chelsea midfielder, Joe Cole claimed manager Graham Potter has sent a clear message to Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang about being out of favour at the club.

Coles opines that going forward Kai Havertz would be considered the preferred option to lead Chelsea’s attack.

During the game against Fulham, former Blues star, Willian scored the leading goal before Kalidou Koulibaly gave the Blues an equaliser.

Chelsea’s new signing Joao Felix was then handed a red card for his reckless challenge on Kenny Tete as Fulham went on to score the winning goal from Carlos Vinicius.

While Potter made four changes with 11 minutes remaining, he, however, snubbed Aubameyang.

“I think it was a clear message to Aubameyang,” Cole told BT Sport.

“A big game for Graham Potter and Chelsea tonight, he’s looked at his bench, he’s brought four players on and not looked at him.

“I think that’s a clear message to where he sees Aubameyang in the pecking order.

“Kai Havertz is going to have to be the one that leads the line for the foreseeable future.”
