Chelsea may soon bid goodbye to another of their player in the person of German winger Hakim Ziyech.

According to Calciomercato, Ziyech is closer to joining AC Milan after the player put the Italian club as his first-choice summer destination option.

As of now, the 29-year-old has three years left in his contract at Stamford Bridge, and while he still has more minutes than the likes of Christian Pulisic and Timo Werner under Thomas Tuchel last season, he still struggled for game time.

The German winger had not expected things to go this way especially when he joined the club under Frank Lampard in 2020.

There claims that Tuchel’s preference for a 3-4-3 system at Chelsea is one of the reasons Ziyech has been linked with moves to leave the club.

Since he doesn’t fit into the system the former Ajax player is one of those that could be offloaded this summer, especially as Chelsea plan to sign two new attackers.

Based on the report, Zieych is close to joining the Serie A champions, AC Milan.

Calciomercato claims that Ziyech has already said “yes” to the potential move to San Siro, and the Italian club directors have commenced talks with Chelsea.
