Chelsea’s squad numbers for next season

Chelsea on Monday in a statement via their official website released new squad numbers for the upcoming season.

So far this summer, some Chelsea players have left the club permanent or on loan, while the Blues have made some new additions in the summer window.

The report disclosed that players like Wesley Fofana and Levi Colwill got their same squad numbers for the new campaign.

Chelsea announced the squad number updates ahead of their summer tour of in USA.

Colwill was handed the No.6 shirt which was worn last season by now former defender Thiago Silva, whose deal ended with Blues this summer.

Fofana opted for the No.29 shirt while the Blues new summer signing Tosin Adarabioyo will begin his new season at Chelsea with the No.4 shirt, while Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall will wear No.22.

According to the Blues, their new squad member which include Omari Kellyman, Marc Guiu and Renato Veiga will initially take on the numbers 37, 38 and 40.

Meanwhile, Chelsea await the return of Cole Palmer who played for England in the Euro 24 final against Marc Cucurella’s Spain national team.

Following Cucurella’s impressive form for Spain who won the Euro 24, it is unlikely that Chelsea will let the defender leave this summer as they were said to be planning to sign him out.
