Chelsea owner Todd Boehly is reportedly yet to submit any bid for Ajax’s Edson Alvarez despite his promise that they would make moves for him.

According to journalist Ben Jacobs, Boehly told Ajax’s 25-year-old star that he would make an offer to bring him to Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea are, however, yet to make any move for the defensive midfielder, who has remained a key player in Ajax squad.

When discussing Alvarez, Jacobs told The Football Terrace: “Chelsea have been jumping from target to target to target. Let’s not forget, Todd Boehly told Edson Alvarez they would come back for him. And even though Ajax don’t want to sell mid season they haven’t come back.

“Agents and players start to wonder, they are coming for me, they are promising me the world, but are they actually going to come in for me?”
