Chelsea warned against playing 19-year-old star
Lyon manager, Laurent Blanc has sent a message to Chelsea over their new 19-year-old new signing, Malo Gusto.
Blanc in his statement warned the Blues against playing Gusto who is battling a hamstring injury.
According to Blanc, Gusto is not fit to play because he still has discomfort, as he stressed that Chelsea should show ’common sense’ over the player’s injury.
Recall that the west London side signed Gusto from Lyon in a £26.3million deal during the January transfer window.
He was, however, loaned back to the French Ligue 1 side for the rest of the season after he signed a seven-and-a-half-year contract at Stamford Bridge.
“We have a problem with Malo,” Blanc told the French outlet L’Equipe.
“He injured his hamstring a few games ago and he recovered. He still has discomfort. You have to treat it well, but it is not much.
“I hope that Lyon and Chelsea will show common sense. In any case, he is not fit to play a Ligue 1 match, so it is better to wait. But he could be on the bench.”
