Chelsea unveil squad for FIFA club world cup

Chelsea have unveiled their 23-man list for the FIFA club world cup slated to take place on Wednesday.

This comes as the Blues departed London in the early hours of Sunday; the latest report confirmed that they have now arrived in Abu Dhabi, where the match will occur.

The report revealed that a total of 23 players made the journey to Abu Dhabi, while their No 1 goalkeeper Edouard Mendy is expected to join the rest of the team after he competes in the Africa Cup of Nations final later today, with Senegal facing Egypt.

It was disclosed that for the rest of the squad, there would be the first training session in the UAE later on.

Chelsea’s first game is on Wednesday when they will take on the winners of today’s match between Al Hilal and Al Jazira, the local representatives from Abu Dhabi.
