Former Chelsea star, Chris Sutton has advised the club to buy back their former striker, Tammy Abraham.

According to Sutton, the England international could cure Chelsea’s woes in front of goal if they can get him back for £68 million this summer.

Recall that Abraham joined Italian side Roma in 2021, following the west London side’s record £97.5m deal for Romelu Lukaku from Inter Milan.

Abraham went on to score 27 goals in his first season at the Stadio Olimpico.

While Lukaku was sent back to Inter Milan on loan after just one season back at Stamford Bridge, where he struggled to impress.

Chelsea have been linked with moves to sign a new striker this summer, with Napoli star Victor Osimhen on their target list.

“Tammy Abraham is an out-and-out No.9 and Chelsea decided to let him go,” Sutton told Betting Sites.

“That was a bit of a strange one.

“Buying Tammy back is one of those that I could see happening. I think he’s done pretty well at Roma.

“So I actually think £68m would be a smart piece of business to bring Tammy Abraham back to Chelsea.”
