Chelsea to sell top players to sign this Napoli star

Chelsea will have to part ways with some of their top players in the summer transfer window in a bid to accommodate their possible signing of Victor Osimhen from Serie A side Napoli.

Footballinsider via Caughtoffside, disclosed that the Blues are close to breaching the Financial Fair Play Rules if they make a move to sign Osimhen or any other targets if they fail to sell some of the stars.

Chelsea’s record-breaking signings that saw them welcome Moisés Caicedo and Enzo Fernández at Stamford Bridge have put them on the brink of violating the rules.

Napoli have already announced that Osimhen has a release clause which is reported worth around €130m.

To be able to seal the deal, Chelsea will need to take drastic actions.

Aside from meeting the release clause, the West London side will face stiff competition from Manchester United, Paris Saint-Germain and Arsenal in their bid to sign the Nigeria international to the Premier League.

It is no longer news that Chelsea are in dire need of a striker and Osimhen is their first choice target.
