Chelsea are said to be ready to let Kalidou Koulibaly leave after just one season.

The Blues are planning to offload the defender, who they signed as part of Todd Boehly’s massive spending spree that saw Chelsea lavish €600 million on new players across two transfer windows.

Unfortunately for Koulibaly, he struggled to impress for Chelsea in the recently concluded season below what they paid to sign him.

Chelsea paid Italian side Napoli €38 million for Koulibaly and handed him a four-year deal.

The Naples on the other hand signed Kim Min-jae as his replacement for just €18.1m, and seems to have ended up with a better player.

A report via the Evening Standard revealed the Blues have decided that offloading Koulibaly is the best way forward.

With the high wage at Chelsea, Koulibaly on the other hand wants to remain at Stamford Bridge as there are unlikely any club that would be willing to pay him such an amount.
