Chelsea are keen to break the bank to sign some new players before the summer transfer window closes in a matter of days.

To achieve this Sky Sports News senior reporter, Dharmesh Sheth claimed the Blues could spend up to £250million on the new players this summer.

While the Blues have already signed three key players in the persons of Raheem Sterling, Kalidou Koulibaly and Marc Cucurella this summer.

They are, however, being linked with moves for Barcelona duo of Frenkie de Jong and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Leicester City’s Wesley Fofana.

“It’s not just Aubameyang, it’s not just De Jong that Chelsea are looking at. When they bought Marc Cucurella from Brighton, they became the Premier League’s biggest spenders in this summer’s transfer window.

“But if they were to get Frenkie de Jong, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Wesley Fofana – as they haven’t given up on him – we’re talking in excess of £250m spent in one transfer window,” Sheth said.
