Napoli President, Aurelio De Laurentiis in a recent update revealed the club’s plan for Victor Osimhen’s future.

It is no news that the Nigerian star has been linked with a move away from the Naples club following impressive form in the 2022/23 season.

Chelsea are said to be among the popular clubs that have expressed interest to sign Osimhen.

However, De Laurentiis in a statement claimed the Naples ‘have a basic agreement on a two-year extension’ of the contract, but he is also willing to ‘consider an offer we could not refuse.’

“I have said for a while that Osimhen has to stay. Then, if an offer came in that I could not refuse for the good of Napoli, then we would consider it, as is only natural,” Laurentiis said at the presentation press conference for new coach Rudi Garcia.

“We already talked to Osimhen before the Scudetto celebration, so we already have a basic agreement on a two-year extension of his contract.”

Osimhen scored 26 goals and created four assists in 32 league matches for Napoli last season.

He also scored five more goals in the UEFA Champions League.
