The latest report claimed that Chelsea have dropped interest in signing PSG star and France international Kylian Mbappe in the next summer transfer window.

This comes after Chelsea coach Thomas Tuchel reportedly decided against signing Mbappe to Chelsea next season.

Recall that Tuchel coached Mbappe while he was in charge at PSG; he is, however, in doubt of the abilities of the French striker in the EPL.

According to El Nacional, Chelsea director Marina Granovskaia has pulled the club out of the race to sign Mbappe on a free transfer at the end of the season following Tuchel’s concerns with France forward.

The report added that Granovskaia is no longer willing to submit a ‘great offer’ for Mbappe after the Blues coach communicated his doubts about whether or not his former player would cooperate with his tactics at Chelsea.

Mbappe’s current deal with PSG will lapse at the end of this season, and he has rejected talks to extend his contract with the club.

The France international played 98 times under Tuchel at Les Parc des Princes, scoring 46 goals and also won the Ligue 1 title twice.

With Chelsea reportedly out of the race for Mbappe, the likes of Real Madrid, Liverpool among others, will now intensify their interests.
