Chelsea have suffered another transfer blow this summer as their target and Everton star Richarlison has reached an agreement with Tottenham Hotspurs.

It was revealed that the Blues made a late move to hijack the Brazil star, this is according to Italian transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano, on Thursday.

Romano said the west London side failed in their bid to sign Richarlison ahead of their London rivals.

The Brazil striker is now set to join Spurs in a £60m transfer and is only waiting for medical before the deal is finalised.

Romano tweeted: “Chelsea made an attempt to hijack Richarlison deal before agreement between Everton and Tottenham, in place since this morning for £60m.

“Spurs have full agreement with both EFC and Richarlison on personal terms. Just waiting for medical in Brazil and player signature.”

Chelsea are still on the lookout for a new striker they can sign as a replacement for Romelu Lukaku who has returned to Inter Milan on loan this summer.
