Chelsea star speaks on what to expect for the rest of the season

Chelsea defender and Spain international Marcos Alonso has opened up on what to expect from the team for the remainder of the season.

This comes as Chelsea were held to a 1-1 draw vs Man Utd at Old Trafford on Thursday night in the EPL.

Although the draw brought an end to the Blues eight-game winning run away from home, it cemented their place as the second-best team in the Premier League on the road.

Alonso stressed that Chelsea need to improve at home ahead of next season so as to win titles.

He said the Blues are ready for the FA Cup final vs Liverpool.

‘It’s a good stat, but we are in third position so it means we need to improve at home,’ noted Alonso.

‘We want to be up there fighting for the title. We will have to be there next year, keep this form away and do better at home.

‘We are still trying to compete 100 per cent this season, it’s important to be fighting every week, be ready for the FA Cup final and finish in third position.’
