Chelsea star set to sign new four year extension after return to favour under Tuchel
The future of Jorginho at Chelsea does not look like one that will be coming to an end anytime soon as the Italian is reportedly set to sign another contract.
Jorginho looked like a player out of Chelsea during Frank Lampard’s second season as he was behind N’Golo Kante, Kovacic and Billy Gilmour in the midfield.
The Italian has been tipped for a return to Seria A as the exit of Mauricio Sarri from Chelsea two seasons ago had also played a huge role in the speculations.
Clubs like Napoli and Inter Milan were reportedly ready to give him a place in their team but none of the clubs were able to struck a bargain with the player nor Chelsea.
A new report from Italian insider Nicolo Schira has now stated that Chelsea have opened talks with Jorginho over a contract extension.
According to the report, Chelsea are willing to offer Jorginho a new four year contract as they see him as an important figure in Thomas Tuchel’s team.
Jorginho has made a return to Chelsea’s lineup ever since Tuchel arrived and the board are willing to back the German tactician with whatever he decides.
If Jorginho ends up signing another new deal with the blues, youngster Billy Gilmour will have to leave the club so as to secure playing time.
