Chelsea star set to face disciplinary action after his antics with France midfielder
Chelsea defender Antonio Rudiger is set to face disciplinary action over his antics with France midfielder, Paul Pogba, during Germany’s clash with France.
Germany and France face off in a thrilling battle on Tuesday evening to kick start their Euro 2020 and Rudiger raised eyebrows with his behaviour during the match.
The German international who has been involved in his fair share of incidents at Chelsea this season appeared to have bitten Paul Pogba while trying to prevent him from receiving the ball.
Though the referee officiating the match missed that moment, The Telegraph reports that Rudiger now faces disciplinary action.
If found guilty of the offence, Rudiger might be given a three-match suspension, a move that might see him not feature for Germany again in the group stage and the round of 16 if they qualify.
Rudiger and Paul Pogba shared a laugh after the match but only time will tell if the Chelsea defender will have the last laugh over the authorities.
France won 1-0 on the night with Matt Hummels own goal the only thing separating the two teams.
Rudiger and his German teammates will be eager to bounce back when they face Portugal in their next match.
