Raheem Sterling has reportedly become a surprising target for Juventus as the Italian club seeks to sign a new winger before the transfer window closes, according to reports from Italy.

Since his £50 million move from Manchester City in 2022, Sterling has struggled to meet expectations at Chelsea.

With wages believed to exceed £300,000 per week, Chelsea may be open to offloading the 29-year-old, but finding potential suitors has proven challenging.

Juventus’ Interest in Sterling

Chelsea recently agreed to a £51.4 million deal with Wolves for winger Pedro Neto, who is set to undergo a medical this weekend before finalizing his move.

The arrival of Neto could push Sterling further down the pecking order, intensifying competition for wide positions.

Sterling will now be vying for playing time against Neto, Mykhailo Mudryk, Noni Madueke, as well as Christopher Nkunku and Cole Palmer, who can also operate on the wings.

Despite turning down an approach from Saudi Arabia last summer and expressing contentment with life in London, Sterling has now caught the attention of Juventus.

According to Italian outlet Di Marzio, Juventus is considering Sterling as a potential option as they search for a new winger.

The report suggests that Juventus is gathering information to assess the feasibility of a deal, with a loan move being the likely scenario.

Juventus is also reportedly interested in Manchester United’s Jadon Sancho and Porto’s Francisco Conceicao as alternative options.

Sterling scored eight goals and provided four assists in 31 Premier League appearances for Chelsea last season but faced criticism for inconsistent performances, sometimes even receiving boos from the club’s supporters.

If a serious offer were to come in, it would be interesting to see how Chelsea would respond.

However, a loan deal might require the Blues to cover a portion of Sterling’s wages, and it remains unclear if the winger would be open to leaving the club.
