Chelsea star Romelu Lukaku Is now keen on turning his loan transfer away from Stamford Bridge into a permanent switch to Italian side Inter Milan, according to transfer insider Dean Jones.

With the January window set to commence in a matter of weeks, it will an opportunity for Graham Potter, who came in as a replacement for Thomas Tuchel to oversee incomings and outgoings.

According to Italian media outlet Gazzetta dello Sport, Chelsea are also no longer interested in Lukaku’s return to Stamford Bridge.

With this, the report claimed Inter are looking to negotiate another loan agreement, which would see the striker remain at the San Siro for a further 12 months.

Recall that Lukaku joined the Serie A giants temporarily in June after a £6.9million loan offer was accepted by Chelsea.

Jones said the Belgian star is keen for Chelsea and Inter to negotiate a permanent transfer instead.

Jones told GIVEMESPORT: “He really enjoys his life in Italy. He sees the league as almost perfect for him, particularly at this stage of his career.
