Chelsea star Conor Gallagher has found himself in the news amid the ongoing summer transfer window.
Gallagher like several Chelsea players has been linked with moves away from Stamford Bridge this summer.
Recent report revealed Gallagher has attracted interest from Atletico Madrid and a former player of the Spanish club Kieran Trippier has advised the Blues midfielder to consider a move to the La Liga giants this summer transfer window.
With one year left on his contract with Chelsea, Gallagher could exit Stamford Bridge this summer.
Aside from Atletico Madrid, the 24-year-old midfielder has also attracted interest from the Blues’ rival Tottenham Hotspur.
Recent speculations claimed Atletico Madrid have submitted an offer of €20million for Gallagher which was rejected by Chelsea this summer
However, a report via AS claimed Trippier has stepped in.
The former Atletico star is said to have spoken very highly of the club in his discussion with Gallagher, telling him to join Diego Simeone’s side.
Recall that Trippier was at Atletico for two-and-a-half years, helping them win the LaLiga title in 2021 before returning to the English Premier League to join Newcastle United the following year.
Gallagher’s next line of action is yet to be known as he could choose to leave Stamford Bridge this summer.
